The second Witchy novel I created maps for–which happened to be the third in the “Witchy War” series–required two maps. For the Hudson River Republic map I had to consult a few maps from the time period. I had a feeling that if I only consulted Google Earth, the paths of the rivers would be accurate to the early 1800s.

These map were created based on notes by D.J. Butler a few phone calls and a sketch for the Palace of Life illustration.
